Ukulele Holiday Alicante 2017
As some of you know, last year I did a ukulele holiday in Alicante. It was the first one I’ve done and it served me well in terms of a reconnaissance for future trips. The hotel was modern, clean, and has a swimming pool. Not luxurious but not a dump either.
The town has plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, and a regular tram service to Alicante centre (about 15 minutes away)
For me, and the thing I enjoyed most was that Alicante University is adjacent to the hotel. It has some great buildings and lovely places to walk. It was in those grounds that I held the morning sessions for ukulele practice. The evening sessions we held inside the hotel.
In total, approximately 4 hours playing per-day. I think you would be surprised how much your playing improves putting that many hours in per-day. It’s not mandatory, and if you choose to only do one session per-day that’s up to you. It’s open to beginners or more advanced players.
The cost is £550 for 7 days (excluding flights) and includes a buffet continental breakfast – so you can fill up, I usually did 😀 No definitive date has been set yet, but we’re probably looking at the summer break when the kids are off school.
See you soon
